All Up in Our Business

We had a crowded house this weekend.  It's almost summertime and the ants are showing up alllll over our house.  This weekend they moved from the front door, to the kitchen, to the bathroom, and last night I even found them in our clothes, blech !!!  Just thinking about it makes me squirm.

1st Weekend in June...

Friday night we all went out to the Dodgers vs. Brewers game thanks to good tix Stacey got from her work!  To bad the game was ehhh and the Dodgers couldn't come back at the last minute.  I don't really follow baseball (definitely more of a bball fan ) but it sure was a nice night to be outside! 

Saturday went over to Checka's for her Bday Bbq with Monica!  Good to hang out with the girls and everyone.  Had us some mouth watering carne asada, homemade Spanish rice, and cosmos among other things.

Sunday headed over to J-Town for a lil snack and to the LA Art Fest down the street http://www.laartfest.org/ .  We were mainly there to see an art exhibit done by Dale's friend Sara.  But all of the exhibits indoors got closed because of some problem.  Bummer.  Oh and then we went out to Burbank where Dale decided to get a new toy...

A Beeeeeutiful Day in the Neighborhood...
Since the weather's been so nice I've been trying to ride my bike back and forth to work each day. Dale pointed out to me (several times, every day ) that it takes longer for me to drive to work then it does to ride the bike. I've actually timed it and it takes me a few extra minutes to ride the bike, which = a few more minutes of sleep. But since I'm fortunate enough, for once, to not have a long a@# commute to work... I've been trying it for the past hmmm couple months!

It's nice to get away from work, to be outside, very refreshing (even though it is only the LA air). Riding around the neighborhood I get to see... the friendly old man who stands outside of his house everyday, watching over everything; the lil rowdy kids from the childcare nearby; the many wonderful "gardeners" working on their own yards... roses, hibiscuses, and flowers galore. My daily trip slows me down, puts me in a good mood, and forces me to appreciate my lovely neighborhood.

As usual some relaxing, cleaning, and a lil bit of fun...

Watched House of Flying Daggers and laters on Star Wars, like a gazillion other people, it was.... ok

Snacked on spam (yes spam) musubi and shaved ice while watching some of the AllStarzz hula at the FUMC, Matusi of Faith

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME...
Time flies by insanely fast these days, I have not updated on here in FOREVER! I've been working so much, or so it seems, that every day is blurring together and I'm beginning to forget if it's Monday or Thursday . But anyways, so much has been happening lately that I don't know where to begin. First though, congratulations to a few of my closest friends who have all just gotten engaged within the last few weeks!!! Like Tino said on Saturday night (when all of my engaged friends were sitting at the bar and the rest of us were standing), "What is this, you just sit down and you get engaged here?" But really, no words can ever describe how happy I am for all of you.

My AllStarzz won 2nd place in the gold division for the FOR Tourney a few weekends ago! I'm so proud of them because they went out there and played their lil hearts out!!! Now it's time to prepare for Vegas.


Had dinner at Cafe Veneto in BH w/ some of Dale's friends... because Ash was in town from Texas, for a quick visit.
